These are the owners of Snopes (above) Out of the 3? I think the cat is the least biased. Snopes has written more than one article on me and I’ve called them out on their downright lies and inaccuracies. They quietly fixed the article, but not before I did a video with screen capture calling them out on it.

Let’s face facts.

It’s pretty difficult for a couple with “no formal background or experience in investigative research” (as the article says below) to remain “neutral”   and unbiased when covering everything from A- Z.

Everyone wants a fact checker to truly remained unbiased, but still wants reliable answers.  Snopes appears to have neither of these. Here’s an article about Snopes explaining a bit more on the subject (click on the article for their photo!!!)

What is peculiar to me  is that  since I posted this, the skeptics have come out of the woodwork emailing me and posting on my pages telling me why Snopes is so awesome and gospel like as they defend their honor  (so I know I’m doing something right  🙂

Again I’ll post the video I had to make where alas, they tried to debunk me – only to lie in their article. Granted, they did quietly change their false information (which might have been a mistake) but not before I did a video “snoping” them (bottom line, if you’re going to call out websites like mine and try and debunk them?  Don’t take correct information I got right and debunk it with false information. Especially when it’s about a doctor who is still missing and time is of the essence. If you can’t even get the state that he lives in correct- probably best not to say anything at all.

From one of the many pieces written about how Snopes is biased:

Snopes is a scam…… David and Barbara Mikkelson in the San Fernando Valley of California started  the Website about 13 years ago – and they have no formal background  or  experience in investigative research.  After a few years it gained  popularity believing it to be unbiased and neutral, but over the  past couple  of years people started asking questions who was behind it and did  they have  a selfish motivation?  The reason for the questions – or skepticims  – is a  result of Snopes claiming to have. The  bottom line facts to  certain  questions or issue when in fact they have been proven wrong.  Also,  there  were criticisms the Mikkelsons were not  really investigating and getting to  the ‘true’ bottom of various issues.

While so many quote them like they’re the bible of all fact checkers (or many think they’re a team of doctors or scientists) who like to debunk many claims by actual doctors who I know…  In fact Snopes aren’t doctors or scientists.  Many would say they’re nothing more than a couple of ole couch potatoes. I’d trust their cat over them (if the cat is still alive)

Snopes has done links about obesity, cancer, health, debunking natural products, debunking why Splenda is unsafe (they say false, it’s safe for  you!)

Just remember these two people (and take a good hard look) the next time you quote Snopes like gospel. Because it’s  far from it.
