Uh oh.
Just last month, former Fayette water board manager, Scotty Moore, plead guilty to spending taxpayer money at strip clubs in THREE cities (and women’s clothing). The former head of an Alabama water system will now be going to prison after pleading guilty to theft and ethics charges.
The 60-year-old Moore was sentenced to two and a-half years in prison and ordered to repay $200,000 that he charged to a city credit card.
Court documents showed that the former water board manager used the credit card at two strip clubs on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, plus Teasers in Dothan and The Furnace in Birmingham. He also was accused of using the card to buy lingerie, jackets, sweaters, high-heeled boots, vehicle accessories, and a computer program to hide his crimes (nice try).
He apologized in court. As he should have.
Glad to see he was caught. Sad that we live in a day when this is a news story.
