YouTube personality Emily Hartridge died Friday in a traffic collision, it was announced on her Instagram account. She was only 35. The London Metropolitan Police reported the collision of a truck and an electric scooter early Friday morning, leaving a woman in her 30s dead at the scene. According to The Guardian, Hartridge was the victim. The Guardian also said the crash was Britain’s first fatal collision involving an electric scooter. 6 Million California Students Will Soon Have Vegan Lunch Options

A new California state bill, AB-479, the Healthy Climate-Friendly School Lunch Act, plans to bring sustainable vegan lunch to public schools. The bill hopes to bring healthy, climate-friendly vegan lunch options to over six million students in California’s public schools. It was introduced in February by Assembly member Adrin Nazarian (D-Van Nuys) and would encourage K-12 public schools to offer plant based options for meals and milk. The bill unanimously passed the Senate Education Committee and now moves to the Senate Appropriations Committee. The schools would also receive state funding for offering vegan school lunches. Federal prosecutors recently indicated that towards the end of last year jailed American financier Jeffrey Epstein sent payments to two potential witnesses seeking to influence them in the child sex trafficking case against him. In a filing in Manhattan federal court, prosecutors said Epstein wired a total of $350,000 to the two individuals, who were not named.
