According to police, a baby was found dead Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m. at an Amazon distribution center in Phoenix. Police said they responded to a call about a newborn baby found dead inside a women’s restroom. Phoenix firefighters also responded and confirmed the baby was dead. Florida governor orders $2.5 billion to clean polluted waters, demands entire water board resign

One of Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis campaign promises was to make the environment a priority. And on Thursday he made good on that promise when he signed an order in Bonita Springs- one of the areas where the algae has coated waterways thanks to being downstream from Lake Okeechobee– that would seek “to tackle Florida’s problems with blue-green algae in its rivers and red tide off its coast.”1 Later that day he also demanded the resignations of all nine members of the South Florida Water Management District (the same group who extended a lease with sugar farmers, on land...

ROGUE AI: Alexa DOWN – Amazon helper stopped working, ‘ignored users’ and wouldn’t turn off

Have you heard of Hygge? It’s taking the world by storm!

Now that we are firmly in the middle of winter, and in some places it’s very snowy and cold, I thought exploring the topic of “hygge” might be fun. Check out the video and then my thoughts below… While I think it’s possible that some people might freak out about the comment that Denmark is like the United States had Bernie Sanders become president (because he believes in universal healthcare and socialism), I understand what the man is saying. And I’ve always been very open-minded but I think that it’s likely only smaller countries like Denmark where that kind of thing works best. I think it can be very very effective and I think that the Danish people are really happy. I just don’t know that it would work in the United States. We are just so darn big. And I think I grew up with this idealistic thinking, “Maybe socialism could work here.” But no. It couldn’t. Plus, I think their government is more trustworthy than ours. I really do. I don’t trust our government. However, I do love the trend with healthy, organic food. Now that’s something I can get behind!...

Famous HIV doctor and freedom party politician dies after falling down stairs in a Rome hospital, authorities say alleged suicide

Top Italian immunologist and former centre-right politician Fernando Aiuti died after falling down stairs at a hospital in Rome on Wednesday. Aiuti, 83, would go on to die of complications due to the fall (he had been at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital for treatment of a heart condition). Rome prosecutors are investigating the death and police are not ruling out suicide. As well as being a world-renowned immunologist who pioneered AIDS treatment, he was an expert on the retrovirus and a former member of three-time premier and media magnate Silvio Berlusconi’s now-defunct People of Freedom party. Born in the Marche town of...
