This week, American Airlines and the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, jointly tested their new uniforms to determine if the clothing has been responsible for the reactions that have triggered more than 1,600 health complaints by cabin crews. While the airline has offered uniforms made of alternative materials, the union doesn’t believe the airline’s offer goes far enough. On Black Friday, Patagonia made an astounding $10 million in sales (five times what they expected to make) and have promised to donate every cent toward helping save the environment.  The Monday after the sale, the outdoor apparel and gear retailer announced their record-breaking haul saying that the “enormous love” their customers showed to the planet would benefit hundreds of grassroots environmental organizations, many of which are small and underfunded but are nonetheless, “working on the front lines to protect our air, water and soil for future generations,” around the world.
