Filmmaker Faces Felony Charges, 45 Years In Prison For Documentary On Pipeline Shutdown

It was not enough to militarize the police, allow peaceful protesters to be attacked by dogs, mass arrest protesters, and call in the National Guard. Filmmaker Faces Felony Charges Now they are restricting freedom of the press AGAIN. According to Democracy Now, in North Dakota, documentary filmmaker Deia Schlosberg has been charged with three felonies for filming one of five coordinated acts of civil disobedience earlier this week, in which climate activists manually turned off the safety valves to stop the flow of tar sands oil through pipelines spanning the U.S. and Canada. We will continue to report on this epic struggle of Native Americans and their non-Native allies taking on the fossil fuel industry and an increasingly militarized police in this time when climate change threatens the planet.” End of...

To date, she’s gone through 6-rounds of chemo (so sad) and a surgery to remove the tumors. While she’s not done with treatment, she’s staying positive. Our heart goes out to her...

US prepped for massive cyber assault on Russia

This past Friday, Vice President Joe Biden visited “Meet the Press” and let Chuck Todd know that the Obama administration won’t be ignoring Vladimir Putin any longer, threatening to launch a vast and wide-ranging “clandestine” cyber operation/war against the country, in response to their alleged (last week the US publicly blamed Russia for the recent cyber attacks against Democratic Party organizations) interference with the presidential election. From the article: “We’re sending a message,” Biden said during an interview with “Meet the Press” that will air on Sunday. “We have the capacity to do it. It will be at the...
