Nestle Pays Only $524 to Extract 27,000,000 Gallons of California Drinking Water

Have we reported ANYTHING good about Nestle? Ever? Well, we aren’t starting now. California has been experiencing a drought and even with all their rain this year they are still in a drought. In fact, even if it rained for a month straight, they would still be in a drought. Given that truth, you would think that Nestle would know better than to be bottling water from natural springs in the San Bernardino National Forest (oh, and they also collected 51 million gallons of groundwater from the same area). But, I suppose the higher ups would have to have a...

McDonald’s New Happy Meal Toy Must Be Some Kind of Sick Joke

McDonald’s, a company reviled as of late for its use of unhealthy ingredients, has decided to change course. Kind of. In its latest marketing ploy to prove it is more than a chemical mill masquerading as a restaurant, McDonald’s has launched a new Happy Meal toy: a pedometer. The month-long “step-it” toy promotion is intended to encourage children to exercise. McDonald’s Canada Senior Marketing Manager, Michelle McIlmoyle, discussed the new temporary addition. “Physical activity is important to everyone of all ages. We very much support children’s well-being,” she said in a press release, as reported by Digital Trends. “Step-it is...
