Arkansas Judge Jailed Pancreatic Cancer Patient for 90 Days, Who Couldn’t Pay A Bill

Debtors prisons were outlawed in the US almost 200 years ago. And then in 1983, in a case called Bearden v. Georgia, the court held that a judge has to first consider whether the defendant has the ability to pay but “willfully” refuses. However, it seems a Judge in Sherwood, Arkansas never got the memo. Kentucky Attorney General sues Johnson & Johnson over mesh marketing

Transvaginal Mesh Product Dangers Having had enough with the women in his state’s suffering, Kentucky’s attorney general- Andy Beshear- is suing Johnson & Johnson for millions of dollars. He says the company has “concealed and misrepresented” the risk of its transvaginal mesh products to doctors and patients. The lawsuit lists chronic pelvic pain, pain associated with intercourse and/or the loss sexual function, as well as other health problems.
