An astounding example of animal cruelty, Chinese street vendors are sealing small fish and amphibians inside of plastic and selling them as “jewelry.” The trend has been going on for years, but recent attention has brought the public’s eye on board. The Chinese government has been blamed for their lack of law on animal rights. The pouches cost about $1.50 and contain oxygenated and nutrient-rich water so the animals can breath.
