ZERO WASTE Grocery Store: This is what every market on Earth should look like

Berlin grocery store, Original Unverpackt, is an experiment in grocering.  They sell upwards of 350 products dispensed from refillable containers, while some of the liquids come in bottles with deposits on them.  The store creates zero waste and the customer is able to purchase exactly as much as he or she needs, which contributes to less waste at home. Sara Wolf and Milena Glimbovski crowdfunded the store and, driven by the idea to do “something impossible,” have established a way to economically sell food without contributing to the huge amounts of municipal waste caused by food packaging. *Article originally...

Songwriter and actor Kris Kristofferson has Lyme disease. Their work was recently published on May 3rd in the journal Immunity. Dr. Luo Lingfei, a developmental geneticist at Southwest University said, “Microbleeding occurs very often...

In 1990, truck driver Rick Swope- during his family’s annual trip to the Detroit Zoo- witnessed a fight break out between a chimp named Jo-Jo and another male. After the brief scuffle,...

India’s Mango Man has Grown 300+ varieties of Mango on One Tree!

In 2008 Kaleem Ullah Khan, a 57 year old artist, was awarded one of Indian’s highest civilian awards- the Padmashri- for his mango growing experiment. The artist was able to  grow over 300 varieties of mangoes in different shapes, colors, and sizes- all on one tree! Mr. Khan inherited the mango grove, found in Malihabad (Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh), from his father and began work on the tree in 1987.
