Largest US Food Producers Ask Congress to Shield Lobbying Activities

Some of the largest food producers in the US have successfully petitioned Congress to propose a change to the Freedom of Information Act that would shield their communications with boards overseen by the US Department of Agriculture from the scrutiny of the public, the Guardian has learned. The move follows a series of stories that showed the government-backed egg promoter, the American Egg Board, had attempted to stifle competition from Silicon Valley food startup Hampton Creek, in direct conflict with its mandate. Several agricultural lobbyists including United Egg Producers, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the National Pork Producers...

Magic Mushrooms Lift Severe Depression In Clinical Trial

Magic mushrooms, those well known hallucinogenic marvels from the 1970s, have shown to lift severe depression in a dozen volunteers in a clinical trial and scientists hope they might someday become mainstream medicine. You just can’t get much more greedy than the company that’s been harming people and the environment since 1901. Even Forbes said Monsanto was trying to play down the big fight and now has their eye on Brazil (watch out Brazil, don’t let them destroy your country too). Monsanto officials said in...

Yet another doctor found dead in a plane crash

It brings me no joy to announce the death of yet another doctor in just a matter of days. The other 3 were confirmed holistic doctors, and we are still researching this doctor who was, sadly, found dead. Thomas Bruff, MD, was apparently well loved by many, especially the people we are talking with today. He was board certified in Preventive Medicine. We are told he was an expert in adverse health effects due to medications as well as medical toxicology. Dr. Bruff was a phenomenal physician, an “extremely experienced pilot” as well as a volunteer helping victims after the earthquakes in Nepal and...
