Monsanto Sues to Keep Glyphosate off California list of Carcinogens No surprise that the company who has been destroying lives since 1901 – Monsanto Co of St Louis- filed a lawsuit in California seeking to prevent glyphosate, the main ingredient in its Roundup herbicide, from being added to the state’s list of known carcinogens. Colonoscopies may have exposed 293 Hospital patients to HIV Baystate Noble Hospital has notified colonoscopy patients that the scopes used in their procedures may not have been properly disinfected. Springfield-based Baystate Health said Friday that because of a lapse in disinfection procedures, 293 patients who had colonoscopies at Noble between June 2012 and April 2013 are at risk of having been exposed to blood-borne pathogens during their procedure. Baystate Health acquired the much smaller and formerly independent Noble Hospital in July 2015. Oceans to have more plastic than fish by 2050 A new report out by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation reveals that by 2050 our oceans may have more plastic debris than fish.  The World Economic Forum released the study on Tuesday and it found that 32 percent of all plastic packaging finds its way into natural ecosystems.
