Dow Chemical fails to appear a 3rd time in gas tragedy case It seems that Dow Chemical, US has failed to turn up before a court in Bhopal, India, in connection with the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, for the third consecutive time. The hearing has now been rescheduled for July of 2016. Apparently Dow, which wholly owns Union Carbide Corporation (UCC), has ignored a summons from the district court in Bhopal and did not appear before it yesterday.
