NPR: ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside,’ seen as sexist, frozen out by radio stations

By now, you have heard about the controversy surrounding the song, “Baby, it’s cold outside” or you live under a rock.

Written by Frank Loesser in 1944, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” was featured in the 1949 film Neptune’s Daughter, and even won the Oscar for best original song.¹ Check it out below:

While some radio stations have banned the song altogether, others are doing marathons of the song in protest.
