The Daily Mail is reporting that they have exclusively learned the Mandalay Bay security guard hero, Jesus Campos, was “pressured into giving his only interview to Ellen DeGeneres because the giant company that owns the Las Vegas casino feared he would spill the beans about the shooting timeline if he was grilled by real journalists.”
Campos had originally agreed to do five interviews, all on Thursday and all with interviewers who would have asked the hard questions we still need answers to, when he suddenly disappeared. When he resurfaced, it was announced that he would be allowing Ellen to interview him. (She’s since been attacked for failing to ask “any incisive questions about the timeline of the shooting.”)
Seems MGM is more worried about potential lawsuits, that could be worth BILLIONS, than the families of the 58 people who were murdered or the 546 injured. Basically, MGM was keeping him quiet.
The reason they are worried? There’s a six-minute delay between when the shooting started and when police were called and that means that either Campos or the hotel is at fault.
Although David Hickey, the president of the Michigan-based International Union, Security Police and Fire Professionals of America, wouldn’t confirm that MGM was behind the decision, he says they definitely influenced Campos.
“I was in a meeting with MGM’s upper management and they were definitely concerned about how tough someone like Hannity would be on him and they voiced their opinions.”
However, for him to suddenly disappear, they must have more than “voiced” their opinions; apparently, the company “obsessively controls what employees are allowed to say to the media,” and this behavior is Vegas casino industry-wide. When asked, MGM had no comment.

10:17 pm: The first two officers arrive on the 32nd floor from the 31st.
10:18 pm: Campos, who has been stricken for almost 20 minutes, tells police about Paddock’s room.
10:26-10:30 pm: With Paddock quiet, eight more cops arrive and they decide to evacuate the rooms on the floor.
