At the end of October, we told you that last year, 58-year-old gynecologist Barry King thought it might be “funny” to dye a patient’s vagina purple. And because he pled guilty to a misdemeanor count of harassment he served no jail time and got to keep his medical license. However, that story garnered so much attention that now a petition calling for his license to be revoked, is getting national attention.
“At last check, nearly 30,000 people had signed the ‘Care 2 Petition’ calling for Dr. Barry King’s medical license to be revoked. Those signing the petition are asking the Colorado Medical Board to look more closely at the incident and not allow him to practice medicine.
According to court records, his physician’s license is still active from Colorado and it lists his address at the Grand Junction obstetrics and gynecology office, Colorado West Woman Care.”1
Records also indicated that King was working in Louisiana, at a military hospital but as of October 31st he no longer worked there.
