What an absolutely incredible waste.

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) is actively looking for a contractor in Texas to clear its evidence vaults of marijuana that are no longer needed as evidence. That’s correct, rather than sell it to someone who can manufacture it for children who have seizures, they are going to simply burn it.

What a waste.

“According to a document outlining the DEA’s requirements, the incineration provider must be able to process at least 1,000 pounds of marijuana per hour, for eight hours a day.

The contractor must be able to accept tightly-compressed bricks or bales of pot in packages weighing up to 200 pounds each.”1

The incinerator facility will need to have a secure fence that’s tall enough not to attract public viewing and surrounds the entire compound. Also, the DEA will be present to monitor the process “via closed-circuit cameras and require annual drug tests for all of the incineration facility’s employees.”1

What do you think about this? Don’t you agree the government could do something else with this cannabis rather than simply waste it?
