Instagram and Facebook have been hit with serious technical issues that have left many users unable to load the app or use the enormous platform.
“People reported being unable to log in or to get into the app, being greeted instead by error messages.
‘Error,’ one read. ‘We’re sorry, but something went wrong. Please try again.’
Reports of the outages were largely focused in the UK, rest of Europe and the east coast of the US, according to outage tracking website Down Detector. But that might simply be because timezones mean much of the rest of the world is asleep.”1
(People have also reported, earlier in the day, difficulties logging onto Gmail and Google, as well.)
Facebook, however, claims there are no issues at all despite the fact that thousands of people have reported issues. This is not the first time Facebook has been hit with problems:
