On Monday morning, at around 10:30, 40-year-old mother-of-two Lindsay Jacoby leaped to her death from her fourth-floor Upper East Side home. No one is sure why she did it or if she left a suicide note. 1 Perhaps she was depressed? We literally have nothing to go on.

Jacoby, who was the principal at her own Wall Street recruiting firm, had a young son and daughter and had purchased the home in 2014 with her husband Seth, whom she married in 2005.

She graduated cum laude from Union College and had previously worked as a wealth management recruiter at Oppenheimer & Co., as well as at JP Morgan and Citigroup as an internal recruiter.

This is the second time this summer that someone directly involved in the financial industry has jumped to their death (in fact, the other death happened right across the street).
