A new study out of France has found that people who eat organic food are 25 percent less likely to get cancer. Yes, you read that right. Mainstream news is finally sharing the truth; GMOs, chemical fertilizers, and pesticides are proven to cause cancer.

“A team of researchers studied 68,946 adult volunteers from France who provided information on how often they ate organic food, drinks and even dietary supplements. Participants were given a score, based on how often they eat organic food ranging from ‘most of the time’ to ‘never’ or ‘I don’t know.’

During two follow-up appointments, one in 2009 and another in 2016, the researchers then tracked cancer diagnoses, the most prevalent being breast cancer. Other cancers observed included prostate cancer, skin cancer, colorectal cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphomas and lymphomas.

People who reported higher organic food scores were less likely to be diagnosed with cancer than the rest of the group. For example, those who consumed the most organic food were 25 percent less likely to have cancer, according to the research. That number grew to more than half when looking at cases of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.”1

And the findings were reportedly the same when factors like age, class, and existing health problems were taken into account.2

The study, published on Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine specifically found that people “who primarily eat organic foods were more likely to ward off non-Hodgkin lymphoma and postmenopausal breast cancer compared to those who rarely or never ate organic foods.” 3

The scientists from the study do not believe their findings prove a definitive link between a non-organic diet and cancer because “richer people tend to be healthier, and are the most likely to choose more expensive organic food.” (Um, doesn’t their choice of organic just prove their premise?) They also went on to state that people in the study who reported eating mostly organic also tended to have healthier diets overall which included lots of fruit and vegetables and fewer processed meats and junk food.
