It never ceases to amaze me what people will spend their extra income on. Case in point, Italian brand Golden Goose’s $530 dirty, pre-worn looking, taped-up sneakers. Yes, you read all those words correctly; the shoes look worn, have tape on them and cost over $500. And, Golden Goose offers other worn-out looking sneakers at the same price point. (In case the tape doesn’t appeal to you.)

As you might imagine, many Nordstrom customer’s are less than thrilled about the brand’s insensitivity towards poverty and many of them took to Twitter:
