Yep. You read that title correctly!
Willie Nelson is looking to hire a production manager, extractor, compliance officer, bookkeeper, and a sales director for his new company. BUT, you’ll need at least two years of experience in the cannabis industry and a degree in chemistry (no joke!) to work for Willie’s Reserve. Really. You can apply here.
Each job is a salaried position and will include performance-based incentives; the production manager opportunity, for instance, is worth $65,000 a year. The company’s website calls Willie’s Reserve, “a trailblazing line of marijuana products that celebrate Willie’s love of cannabis and the culture surrounding it.”
The company, to be based in Colorado, is Nelson’s way of giving back to the legions of pot enthusiasts who have flocked to his shows over the years. The marijuana used will be grown by independent farmers, and Nelson will have an assortment of strains, cultivation methods, and recipes. They are also planning to launch a full product line of flower, pre-roll, vape, and edibles this summer. Apparently, everything sold will be hand-picked by Nelson. 🙂
