The last thing I thought I’d be writing about here on Health Nut News is reality shows. As you might know I’m not a huge fan of them. And nuns? Well, I started out in first grade with Sister Maurice as our teacher all the way into high school (at an all girl’s boarding school!) where I lived at a school/convent surrounded by Franciscan nuns who taught me every day. Some were nice, but many were very strict and some never smiled at all. That aside, this little video almost brought me to tears.
You see, sometimes, even on a reality show, there is that magical moment where you’re not sure if you’re dreaming and you catch a glimpse into something truly special. It looks like the judges felt the same way. Oh and I’d imagine the fact the video has nearly 9 million views in less than 48 hours might be a sign others enjoyed it as well. (A little hint- click on CC at the bottom of the video for close captions in English after the song. You’ll probably want to read along 🙂 Quite moving. Enjoy.. Music is healing to the soul and while this nun might not be the flying nun or Maria Von Trapp… Sister Christina from Sicily obviously has quite a gift. I hope she wins (not sure how it works if there’s one winner per season?!) But this sister was a born star 🙂 (Remember, hit CC to see the words since (after the song!) most words are in Italian..
