[…]the authors of the study were encouraged by what they found, they didn’t suggest doctors start prescribing chocolate as a way to improve vision; flavonoids exert protective effects on blood vessels but Vitamin A may also protect against macular degeneration progress. There are still a lot of unknowns. And, researchers aren’t exactly sure how long the effects of eating chocolate actually last, either. In addition, the population studied would need to be more varied, especially in older patients and in those with retinal diseases. Lastly, let’s be clear, the real nutritional value of dark chocolate occurs when it is at least […]
[…]a measure of control over our own health and longevity.” RELATED STORY: 105-year-old Japanese doctor recommends these 14 healthy pieces of advice So much control, as addressed in my video Turning the Clock Back 14 Years, that we may be able to effectively turn back the clock 14 years in terms of mortality. But whether the benefits observed in those studies are the result of good, life-long health habits or can be achieved by those who make changes later in life needed to be confirmed. […]you could only do that for accounts, Groups, and Pages).) RELATED STORY: Facebook sent a doctor on a secret mission to ask hospitals to share patient data What is missing in the new community standards are separate procedures for governments who want content removed. In that instance, “formal written requests are required and are reviewed by Facebook’s legal team and outside attorneys. Content deemed to be permissible under community standards but in violation of local law – such as a prohibition in Thailand on disparaging the royal family – are then blocked in that country, but not globally.” Facebook is […]
[…]STORY: Triggers Psychiatric Disorders and Autism, yet It’s Strongly Promoted by Most Doctors “We [doctors] tend to deny that we have any conflict of interest if a pharmaceutical company buys us a nice dinner. We tend to insist that it won’t affect our judgement in any way”—as if drug companies just like wasting money for the heck of it. Most physicians contend that their colleagues are susceptible to industry influence…but not them. Though physicians don’t want these gift relationships to be public, that’s just too bad. Thanks to Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, the Sunshine Act was inserted into Obamacare. “For the first time, patients […]
[…]now. With this new death, this makes 89 in the series. You can read about them all here. These deaths have all happened in well under 3 years. Our heart goes out to family and loved ones, some of whom witnessed this gruesome cold-blooded murder, of the world-famous traditional healer and elder Olivia Arévalo Lomas of the Shipibo Konibo Indigenous people of Peru. She was assassinated yesterday with five shots to the heart. “The unknown assailants killed her at her home in the community of Victoria Gracia located 20 minutes from the town of Yarinacocha, in front of her family and in the presence of […]
[…]none of these deaths are related, but we will continue to report on the sudden and or unexpected deaths of holistic doctors. […]be used to create a mole only visible under red light to save them the worry and be checked by a doctor at regular appointments instead. However, it only lasts for a year before needing to be replaced.” Dr. Catherine Pickworth from Cancer Research UK, is excited about the new discovery but also urged caution, saying, “This study in mice shows that a biomedical tattoo could detect changes in the amount of calcium in the blood, but we need to see if this holds true in people. High levels of calcium can be an indicator of cancer but also many other […]
On April 12th, Maxim Borodin, a Russian investigative journalist who wrote about the deaths of mercenaries in Syria, died in the hospital after (allegedly) falling from his fifth-floor flat. Officials said no suicide note was found and that his death was unlikely due to foul play. (His door was locked from the inside.) His friend, Vyacheslav Bashkov, however, paints a different picture. The day before Bashkov, who described Borodin as an honest journalist, said Borodin had contacted him at five a.m. because there was “someone with a weapon on his balcony and people in camouflage and masks on the staircase landing”. […]justice or prevent the same thing from happening again. There’s institutional bias because doctors tend to try to protect other doctors as much as possible. According to experts and victims, the harm committed by sexually abusive doctors is aggravated by the personal nature of the doctor-patient relationship. Thanks to the sentencing of Larry Nassar a spotlight has been put on physician misconduct. However, in case after case, most doctors accused of sexual misconduct avoid a medical license review entirely and never face medical board discipline. How is that […]
[…]regulation, in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica data scandal. RELATED STORY: Facebook sent a doctor on a secret mission to ask hospitals to share patient data Although Zuckerberg apologized in the previous hearing for Facebook not taking “a broad enough view” of its responsibility to users (I don’t believe for one minute he or the corporation is sorry) he “faltered somewhat” on Wednesday. When Rep. Frank Pallone, a Democrat from New Jersey, asked him for a “yes” or “no” about “whether Facebook would commit to changing its default settings to minimize data collection ‘to the greatest extent possible,” Zuckerberg […]

[…]at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for internal hemorrhaging but left against his doctor’s advice and was later found dead. Excessive internal bleeding was discovered by the medical examiner. Since March 7th, at least 24 other patients in Cook County have presented with similar symptoms. However, while yes the synthetic pot is dangerous, doctors are attributing the cases to a type rat poison found in the synthetic pot. RELATED STORY: ‘I was wrong’: Judge admits jailing people for pot ‘haunts’ him after cannabis saved his life Cook County’s Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Ponni Arunkumar, says when laced with rat poison, […]
Although Facebook certainly doesn’t need anymore scandals, yet another one has come to light: it’s been revealed that the social media giant asked “several major U.S. hospitals to share anonymized data about their patients, such as illnesses and prescription info,” for a purported “research project.” Facebook says their intention was to help hospitals figure out which patients might need special care or treatment, based on the info they had collected, once they went home. But, given the Cambridge Analytica data leak scandal, the project never got past the planning phases and has now been put on pause. However, as recently […]
[…]were discovered. However, a box cutter knife was located melted to the right thigh area of the doctor with the blade open and two gas cans, missing from Cottens’ home, were found in the vehicle. There was also a full gasoline can in the trunk of the car with a second gas can flattened on the floor of the backseat. As you may imagine, the majority of the charring and burning was found around the front seat passenger side and back seat area. Cotten’s wife reportedly told police that the gas cans were from their home and that her husband abruptly […]
[…]was working as an epidemiologist in the CDC’s chronic disease unit. Sadly, he is the 86th doctor found dead in our holistic doctor death series. I recently signed a contract with a Hollywood production company to have my story made into a film so that we can continue to get the word out to the people. I asked for no money, I just want the public to finally know about these deaths, many of whom were our friends and colleagues. While the Atlanta PD unit said Cunningham was denied a promotion, the CDC disputes this, and says that he was given […]
[…]of private label over-the-counter medicines and building a business selling medical supplies to doctors, dentists and hospitals.” However, Larry Levitt, the senior vice president at the Kaiser Family Foundation, a healthcare research center thinks it’s actually Amazon that should be concerned about Walmart: “Walmart has a better chance to disrupt health care than Amazon. People still get their health care in person and there are Walmarts all over the place.” And, let’s not forget that Walmart employes almost 1.5 million people in the U.S. alone. But that’s enough of a reason for the grocery giant to own a health insurer; it could […]
[…]the risk of death or kidney damage.” And that difference could mean 50,000 to 70,000 fewer deaths and 100,000 fewer cases of kidney failure, every year, in the U.S. RELATED STORY: Third Leading Cause Of Death In America: Going To The Hospital Dr. John Kellum, a critical care specialist at the University of Pittsburgh, said that others like himself had been “sounding the alarm for 20 years”but that it was “purely inertia”that prevents change. (While Kellum did not contribute to either of the studies, The University of Pittsburgh now largely uses balanced fluids.) “IVs are one of the most common things in […]
[…]shake up Big Pharma. But that was Sherman. He was a visionary. RELATED STORY: Unintended Holistic Doctor Death Series: Over 80 Dead While it’s estimated that Health Canada’s approval of the new drug is still two years away, the “pot pill” is expected to provide people with an alternative to highly addictive opioids and other pharmaceuticals. It will also be one of Sherman’s greatest legacies. “Currently, medical marijuana is either smoked or ingested as an oil or an edible, often with uneven results. The concept Sherman threw his expertise behind was to standardize different levels of doses in pill form, […]
[…]not just those well-connected lobbyists with state ties. “By the time you finally go (to the doctor to get medical cannabis), you need it now, not 90 days from now,” Bench said before calling out the restrictive nature of the Florida law. “I think you should take the word ‘debilitating’ totally out of it,” said Bench. “What I had, COPD, a terminal disease, is not on your list.” “I’d be dead if I had to treat under this mandate of Florida law.” The heroism and humility shown by Doug Bench are inspiring, to say the least. If a tiny fraction […]
