[…]more. RELATED ARTICLE: Diet Soda May be Tied to Stroke, Dementia Risk While I’m glad this doctor is starting to look at nutrition, this attitude highlights the fact that physicians do not receive enough education on nutrition and that, by in large, they do not treat the body in a holistic sense (something we all know). However, at least one more doctor has woken up. It’s a small victory but we will take […]
[…]was published. If we multiply 120,000 by those 16 years, we get 1.9 million preventable deaths, about which there was near total doctor silence. There was no substantial effort to reduce the number of those deaths. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) then released its landmark study in 1999, asserting that yet another 600,000 patients died during that time when providers could have acted. As some of you may know, Hurricane Irma was powerful and destructive. The situation is devastating for loved ones but the tragedy did prompt police to check 42 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the city of Hollywood. Hours later, “79 residents from the Krystal Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Miami Beach were evacuated to another facility because of the heat.” Staff at The Rehabilitation Center at Hollywood Hills tried for […]

[…]A huge step towards exposing aerotoxic syndrome There is no doubt that the violent removal of a doctor from an overbooked flight in April of this year sparked the changed. Thankfully, since then, multiple airlines have taken a look at their procedures regarding overbooking: United announced changes in its procedure which now includes offering more money to passengers on overbooked flights to encourage volunteers to give up their seats. So far, bumping is down by 85%. Delta Air Lines raised the amount of money its employees could offer. Southwest Airlines will no longer overbook flights at all. The little town of Conetoe, North Carolina, population 300, is predominately African American and surrounded by farmland. But it’s also a “food desert,” the nearest store is 10 miles away. So, after doing funeral upon funeral because of poor access to health care, education on health and healthy food, Reverand Richard Joyner asked the Lord what he could do and God reminded him he was surrounded by LAND. […]Greger M.D. FACLM on August 24th, 2017 Diverticula are out-pouchings of our intestine. Doctors like using a tire analogy: high pressures within the gut can force the intestines to balloon out through weak spots in the intestinal wall like an inner tube poking out through a worn tire tread. You can see what they actually look like in my video, Diverticulosis: When Our Most Common Gut Disorder Hardly Existed. These pockets can become inflamed and infected, and, to carry the tire analogy further, can blow out and spill fecal matter into the abdomen, and lead to death. Symptoms can range from no symptoms […]

And, while many countries have lowered their smoking rates (Australia is at 13 percent) ours is still at a whopping 15 percent. […]Antibiotic in the US So, what should we do? First, if you find yourself at the doctor and they want to prescribe meds, ask if you really need them (many doctors have become accustomed to patients demanding them and do so out of habit to keep us happy). Next, ask if you can treat using a short course. Last, if you start taking the antibiotics and feel better before you are even done, reach out to your doc and ask if you can stop. Hmmm. He was right. It’s actually not that […]
