For those of us who love animals and hate animal cruelty, the news that Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is finally done, is sweet, sweet music. Sunday, May 22nd was their last show. EVER.
While we feel for the many employees, many of whom are second, third and even fourth-generation circus performers, the animals were suffering terrible treatment under horrible conditions.

Thankfully, animals will no longer be forced to perform unnatural tasks and stunts, nor will they be carted all over the country in small crates, forced to work in appalling conditions. Theses animal’s new futures feature cage free roaming. Weight gain. Running. Being free. We are overjoyed.
