I have exciting news to report for those of us who call Florida home! Violet Shutt, who turned 107 years old on Sunday, is the oldest centenarian in Duval County. And she credits her good health to her lifestyle, “Eat good food and take care of yourself. That’s about all I can say,” replied Violet, who considers herself a health nut.
We LOVE health nuts.
But it’s not just the fact that she lives on her own in her senior community, or is a “health nut,” she also knows it’s important to keep your mind active. Something she does with her many hobbies: knitting, crocheting, painting and reading books every day. She also cooks, cleans and still gets her hair done every week. Honestly, she’s a woman after my own heart!
