New York Senator Chuck Schumer has accused the FDA of withholding information on the dangerous ingredient in the weed killer Roundup, glyphosate. In fact, he believes that the FDA has had Roundup’s main ingredient on its radar for at least two years. “Since 2016, the FDA has been on the job studying it. But we need them now, on the record.”1

And now, following allegations last week that millions of American children have been exposed to the carcinogen through popular kids cereals, he’s demanded the FDA release what it’s found in investigations of the chemical glyphosate.2

“The Environmental Working Group (EWG) put out research this past week that found popular oat cereals, oatmeal, granola and snack bars come with a hefty dose of the weed-killing poison in Monsanto’s Roundup.

Schumer said the keeping the test results a secret from the public is unacceptable and called on the agency to release the information.”1
