When Kelly Hauf began suffering from severe headaches she went to her doctor. She never expected to discover that her CAT scan would reveal a 3cm tumor in the left frontal lobe of her brain. With a husband and two teenage girls Kelly was shattered.

The tumor was discovered in 2000, and was operated on in 2003. While the operation was a success, two months later a MRI showed regrowth of the tumor.

After this upsetting news, Kelly’s brain surgeon recommended 4-6 months of chemotherapy, and an operation if the chemo failed to work. Kelly and her husband read a paper on chemotherapy and discovered that while people appeared to get better after chemo, there would be left over tumor cells that could mutate and become aggressive over time.

So Kelly and her husband began researching alternative methods and discovered Charlotte’s Web cannabis oil, an alternative method to chemotherapy that could be used as a cancer treatment.

How the Alternative Method Worked

Kelly decided to commit to a 90-day cannabis treatment protocol. So her family established residency in San Francisco, in order to get a medical marijuana card for her cancer treatment. According to Kelly, “the cannabis oil helped me with my fibromyalgia pain, joint pain, and chronic headaches. I literally have no pain now.”

During the 90-day program she also began juicing all organic non-GMO veggies every day. Her diet consisted of organic gluten free meals and a machine that created pure alkaline drinking water. She was also sure to get a good dose of fresh air on her daily walks. “I had an arsenal of cancer fighting supplements, foods, and daily practices to work on my physical, spiritual, and emotional health.”

The Results

After 90 days of the treatment Kelly’s MRI revealed that there was no change in the main tumor’s regrowth. However, there was a change; a smaller tumor that was found 10 years ago that was inoperable in her cingular gyrus was completely gone. The disappearance of this tumor encouraged Kelly to continue with the cannabis protocol.

8 months after the beginning of the cannabis treatment, her MRI revealed that the remaining tumor had turned into scar tissue. While it is important that Kelly continues to get MRIs to monitor any potential tumors, she is now in better health and has a greater immune system thanks to the cannabis.
