Last year, Louis C.K. decided to put his phone down- forever. (Well, for now.) He realized that he was spending too much time looking at his phone. He realized he was missing time with his kids. He realized that he was looking at things he didn’t like, things he KNEW would upset him. So, he stopped. In fact, he even has a lock on his phone and only his daughter has the code!

When the first smartphones came out, we had no idea how much they would change our lives. At first, they allowed us to stay in better contact and quite frankly, we spent more time together because of our phones. But now they’re contributing to so many people’s loneliness. Entire groups of teenagers have been seen together, all with head’s down. (And it’s having a physical effect on them too!)1
