There are currently 107 fires burning in the state of Florida, roughly 23,800 acres, and enough for Rick Scott to call a “State of Emergency.” Scott has claimed he hopes the distinction will “make it easier for state, regional and local agencies to quickly work together to protect our families, visitor, and communities.” However, while putting the fires out is paramount, stopping the GAS PIPELINE ON DRIED WETLAND, that has seen over 68,000 acres of land burned from wildfires since February, is probably even more pressing.

Climate change is happening whether Governor Scott wants to admit it; Florida is drying up and hasn’t seen this many active wildfires since 2011. Knowing that, does it really make sense to build a PRESSURIZED GAS PIPELINE filled with COMBUSTIBLE chemicals and run it through the state?
The video above isn’t Florida but can you imagine seeing something like that in the Central Florida wetlands where the pipeline is being built? There’s no wisdom in this. Only the desire for more money.
