Back in 1941, Gloria Tramontin Struck learned how to ride a motorcycle after her brother persuaded her to learn. And now, at 93 years young, Struck is a longtime motorcycle rider who is showing no signs of slowing down! In fact, she will be 94 this summer.

In the early years of her riding, being a female rider came with some challenges, including being refused a place to stay at times. But Struck says, “Their opinion didn’t bother me.”1
Thanks to her years of riding, Struck has developed lasting friendships with other women who enjoy riding through the women’s motorcycle group, Motor Maids, Inc, of which she has been a member for 73 years!

And now, well into her 90s, she’s also become an author, writing “Gloria – A Lifetime Motorcyclist: 75 Years on Two Wheels and Still Riding.”

Speaking about her book she said, “I never realized the life I led until I sat down to write about it, and I thought ‘Oh, my goodness, quite a life,’ so I’m very happy I did it.”1
Gloria says everyone should live their dream, after all, she’s living hers,
“I’m still trying to live mine, you know. There’s no such thing as having age stopping you from doing things. You want to do something and you’re able to, do it.”1

In 2011 the New Jersey native was inducted into the Sturgis Hall of Fame and into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2016. In seven years, after turning 100, she plans to ride cross country on two wheels. If anyone can do it, my money is on her!
