The Juiceman, 92, Destroyed by Surgery, Really Needs Our Help
When I was 21 years old my life was changed in a great way. I saved up in college and brought my first juicer- a Juice Man Jr, as I was inspired by man himself: Jay Kordich.
I had that juicer from the time I lived in the Midwest in school all the way through my years in living in California juicing my produce and probably helping to keep me alive. I worked extremely long hours, was driving in LA traffic, and had mysterious autoimmune challenges to boot that I didn’t figure out until years later.
I think I finally gave it away when I left California, but man, did I love that juicer..
Jay Kordich was always an inspiration to me and I’d even seen the Jim Carry impression and video he did of Jay on In Living Colour. I figure imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
This is why I was so sad to read the truth about how Jay had his whole identity taken from him when they took his name “The Juice Man” and it did leave him depressed.
He also had a knee injury and had a knee replacement which left him “never the same” his wife says.
That really touched me as between a broken foot a year ago (a broken door smushed it!) and having saline implants taken out (six hour surgery under general anesthesia) and now an injury of a torn labrum in my shoulder, frozen shoulder and severely injured wrist and hand (after I speak at CAL JAM – I’m doing PRP – platelet rich plasma and or stem cell along with acupuncture and will document the whole thing with video) I just really felt for Jay and wanted to share this.
Jay is 92 years old! I’m less than half that age and know how tough it can be to overcome these injuries. It’s not fun in the least.
I’m honored to be friends with him and his wife on Facebook. They didn’t ask me to share this Go Fund Me link, but I figured with all they did for the health movement- I could donate what I can and if you can’t donate maybe you can find it in your heart to share the video that would be great

His wife said she was forced to put him in an a home (facility) which she describes as “horrible” with unhealthy bad food as well where he is sadly going steadily downhill.
I think these 2 have given so much to the community never asking for anything in return, that I had to share this. Think of at least sharing this with others as I know if it were you that you hope folks would do the same.
