NBC: California grower recalls avocados over possible Listeria

Southern California’s Henry Avocado, a grower and distributor based near San Diego, are voluntarily recalling whole avocados over possible listeria contamination. There have been no reports of any illnesses associated with the avocados. The recall covers conventional and organic avocados grown and packed in California and sold in bulk across California, Arizona, Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and New Hampshire. At the end of December 2018, the USDA announced their long-awaited rule on the labeling of foods containing GMO ingredients.
