YAHOO: Ironman Dean Mercer 47, killed in single car crash from alleged heart attack
Former Austrailian ironman Dean Mercer (a two-time winner- 89 and 95), crashed his car into a fence on the Gold Coast early Monday morning and died. At this time, it is believed the reason for the crash was a heart attack. He was transported to the hospital after the crash and in a critical condition but later died. He was 47 years old.
