Even though Stephanie Dickson, 24, visited doctors- 14 different times in a nine-month span- doctors repeatedly prescribed painkillers to her for “stress-related migraines.” The happy, fit, and intelligent Dickson had a gut feeling her sore neck, severe headaches and dizziness were symptoms of a serious illness but no one seemed to believe her. A new study published in The Lancet is reporting that average life expectancy will increase globally by 2030, both at birth and at the age of 65. Thanks to improvements in maternal and child health and improved adult health the average for women at birth will exceed 85 years in many countries, with South Korea projected to lead the way with a life expectancy of 90.8 years.
