Facebook Shareholders Want To Remove Mark Zuckerberg As Board Chairman

Since 2012, Mark Zuckerberg has served as the CEO and Chairman of Facebook, one of the largest corporations in the world. Shareholders have dealt with it, allowing Zuckerberg near total control of the organization, until recently. Now, a group of shareholders who are a part of the corporate power damper group SumOfUS, believe it is in the company’s best interest to install an independent Chairman. “In our view, shareholder value is enhanced by an independent board chair who can provide a balance of power between the CEO and the board and support strong board leadership.” – reads the proposal. And just because this salt is pink, don’t be fooled into thinking it is not Black Himalayan salt. The only...

600,000 Gallons of Oil Spilled from a Texas Pipeline One Week Before DAPL Is Approved

(Note from Erin: This truthful information is readily available which means the president, Army Corps of Engineers, and anyone else supporting DAPL, is simply ignoring what happens when we build pipelines. This isn’t a victimless crime and water IS life.) On Jan. 30, Enbridge’s Seaway Pipeline, in Blue Ridge, Texas, had a 600,000 gallon spill– the second spill since the pipeline opened for business in mid-2016. Thankfully the spill was quickly contained and service resumed on Feb. 5. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and EPA plan to do water and environmental testing in the coming days and TxDOT will take several weeks to do...
