On Sunday, October 6th, a Marco real estate agent and property owner were caught on camera putting poisonous moth balls into an owl burrow on Marco Island. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission’s law enforcement staff were called and are investigating this incident as a felony crime. Doctors Petition FDA to Require Breast Cancer Warning Label on Cheese

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a nonprofit with more than 12,000 doctor members, is petitioning the FDA to require cheese manufacturers to display a breast cancer warning on all dairy cheese products.  The petition was submitted on October 3, as Breast Cancer Awareness Month gets underway. Nestlé wants to suck over 1M gallons of water a day from a spring right near my home, destroying Florida

Nestlé is asking to take over 1.1 million gallons of water a day from the ecologically fragile Santa Fe River without paying for it. As we’ve previously reported, the company requested a permit from the Suwannee River Management District which would renew their right to pump water from the springs, as they’ve been doing since 1998.
