Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, will stop selling e-cigarettes amid “regulatory complexity” and “uncertainty” surrounding the industry, the company said in an internal memo Friday. E-cigarettes are billed as a less harmful way for people to get their nicotine fix than traditional cigarettes. Yet a teen vaping “epidemic” and an outbreak of a deadly vaping-related illness has thrown the industry into turmoil. A new study has confirmed that pesticides kill songbirds and could be responsible for the decline in populations. In fact, three BILLION birds have been lost in North America since 1970. Experiments showed that the controversial neonicotinoid class of insecticides turn birds “anorexic”, rapidly reducing their body weight and interrupting their migratory schedule. A teenager who died after eating a birthday meal at British burger chain Byron had told staff about his allergy to dairy. A coroner has found he was misled into thinking his order was safe to eat. Owen Carey was celebrating his 18th birthday at a London branch of the restaurant in 2017.
